San Siro is Milan's largest stadium and a major concert destination. Its permanent visitor information is useful for transport, but concert gates, floor access, bags and accessibility are controlled by the individual organiser.

Access and transport

The official stadium site lists San Siro Stadio on metro line M5 as the primary stop. Bus 49 and tram 16 also serve stops named San Siro Stadio M5.

ATM advises checking real-time arrangements because large events can change surface services and crowd flows. Lotto on M1 or M5 may provide an alternative only when official guidance supports it.

Do not schedule a tight mainline train after the encore. Releasing a stadium audience into the metro system takes time even when the station is directly outside.

When to arrive

A 90-minute margin before the advertised concert start is a practical baseline, but the promoter's door and gate instructions take priority. Floor wristbands, name checks or accessible entry can require an earlier appointment.

Bags, entry and venue rules

  • San Siro's general stadium regulation is not a substitute for the concert organiser's rules. Use the event page for bag size, bottles, cameras and power banks.
  • Travel without luggage and avoid bringing any item that would be difficult to discard. General stadium storage should not be assumed.
  • Record the colour, gate, ring and sector shown on the ticket. The perimeter is large, and the wrong entrance creates a substantial detour.

The stadium provides dedicated routes and positions, but its official information directs concert visitors to the organiser for distribution and arrangements.

Confirm the accessible ticket, companion place, entrance and arrival procedure before purchase. ATM states that San Siro Stadio and Lotto stations are served by lifts, whose live status should still be checked.

Where to stay and eat

Staying near an M5 interchange can simplify the night without placing you next to the stadium. Eat before reaching the immediate perimeter, where options and queues become event-driven. Agree on a meeting point by a named street or transit exit rather than simply saying 'outside San Siro.'
